'Tis the Season....

Well, yet another Christmas, yet another time to receive presents and crap... Well, not so much receive as much as giving... This time however, it's a WHITE Christmas. Cheesy as it sounds, it's quite an experience. The whole waking up on Christmas Eve and seeing a FREAKING SNOWSTORM.... Another experience is actually having Christmas with friends, and not a single family member in sight...Suddenly I miss the time I had with my family. It's really a weird experience, having celebrated Christmas with my family for about 18 years, and this year it's with people who only vaguely know what Christmas is... It's a learning experience, as has been a lot of things these few days... However, I would like to thank Calvin Tan Wei Loong for teaching me to take things in my stride, and recommending one of the most enlightening books I have ever read, The Secret. Thank You Calvin!

Anyways, I got my Christmas present, in more ways than one.

Burning the Midnight Oil...

So... It's 4.25AM right now, I'm supposed to be studying. I've been doing it for about 2 hours now, so a break would be good for me=P. So, I guess now is as good a time to blog than any other. Here's a summary of my study tactic for the finals:

This is what my table looks like currently. Yes those are books and papers in front of the monitor. So anyways, the food keeps me awake while I write out my cheatsheet. It's worked thus far, although it's taking some willpower(and a huge mess of books) to not go to bed. I kind of dumped the rest of my books on my bed so I won't go to bed. Waiting for Thanksgiving....

So, this is my first post in.... a long time. It's been really tough these few days, what with tests, work, tests, and did I forget to mention tests? So anyways, we get our first 'free' week this semester. OK so it's actually from Wednesday onwards, but who's counting? Also, It's been snowing, melting, then snowing again. Sigh....

Religion, the 10 commandments, and God's Gifts

So, Ramadan begins and Muslims everywhere start fasting and what not. Today, at work, En Yee, Brian and myself almost closed the dishroom in record time. Almost? Yup, because guess what, a bunch of 'people' come in and demand food to break fast. My first reaction is, Ok, first day of fasting, so fine. There were 14 in all, consisting of 2 girls and 2 guys, and another group of 10 guys. The smaller group just ate and left, the girls smiling apologetically at us waiting for them. However, the group of 10 guys, had a whole celebration, absolutely refusing to leave, and totally not guilty about it. As they were leaving (finally), one of them came to me and said, "Don't blame me, it's my religion." All I can say is, WHAT THE HELL?! Therefore, I decided to state this loud and clear, Religion is just a guide of how to live your life, not THE way of life. It is not the absolute way to live your life, and it God damned well is not an excuse for being a jackass. Now, to make this clear, I'm not pissed at the fact that you had to fast and need to eat, I'm pissed at the fact that you act as if it is your right to make others wait on you, then use your religion as an excuse for doing it.

In fact, religion is not an excuse for anything. This is something that a lot of people have to get through their thick thick thick skulls.



These are the 10 commandments God gave to humanity. As a Christian, I'm as liberal as they come. In fact, I'm almost too liberal. A lot of friends have asked me to go to church and stuff, but I just can't get myself to go to a place that I am uncomfortable with. I just can't. This is probably because of the image some of these so-called 'faithful' ones portray. I have heard so many outrageous comments made by too many people, that I have lost faith. Not faith in God, mind you, but faith in the people that believe in Him.

One of the greatest and probably the most important gifts God has given us is the ability to think. This gift was meant for us to understand some of the things He teaches us. And one of these lessons I have learnt was Independence. There is nowhere in the Bible where it says that we have to always depend on him for everything we do in life. If it was so then we should be praying whenever we go to the bathroom to give us the strength to crap out whatever it is that you people crap out nowadays. Which is why I can think for myself, not have others do that for me.

Once a friend told me that it was a sin to not pray out loud. Bollocks. How is it a sin not to pray out loud? Another issue was the whole Da Vinci Code issue. Well, to all those 'Christians' out there who say that the book is anti-Christ, here's news for you. It's FICTION. Some elements were true, but most of those that were allegedly anti-Christ, are not, or have not and cannot be proven to be fact. Hell, many things in the Bible cannot be proven. So stop all the whining and just live your sad little lives.

Another time, a friend in CF once told me that God will one day test me, test my faith. Well, I will state here and now. There is nothing in this world that will make me lose faith in God. That is because the one thing that will cause me to lose any faith in him have lost any kind of credibility in this world, Christians. It is and never was set in stone about how we should worship him, or what games we can't play, or what shows we can't watch. So stop telling people that the bible says that communion will heal you, or any other bullshit that you heard of some 'prophet', or what I like to call, People With Nothing Better To Do With Their Time. Actually, if you listen to these people, then I guess you fall under that category too...

mmmm.... Root Beer...

Since the drinking age here is 21, I've been drinking a lot of Root Beer, not even Pepsi!! It's so impressive I had to post it.

Anyways, my life here is so boring I have nothing to blog about. Just letting you people know that I'm alive...

Nostalgia.... Then Deep Thinking...

As you probably have seen, I've got a new picture on my Blog Name. For some strange reason I decided to check out my old old old site and saw my old piece of work, so I decided to reclaim it. It was an old CSC assignment, I did it 100% HTML style, as in I typed out all the codes. Yes it was a pain, but hey, I don't care. Then suddenly, a lot of old memories flooded back into my mind. I don't know why, but maybe those memories were repressed within my brain, and now they are just coming back to me? Do I need help? No... I just need some time to actually think about such crap. However, do you know who needs help? Check this out



She just froze out then blurted a bunch of nonsense to a simple question. So much for beauty pageants not just being a beauty contest... Anyways, after working with the high school students here, I asked myself "Why are these people so dumb? Is it the education system here? Or is it natural?" Then it occurred to me. It's not the system here. It's the system back home. The main thing that we learn back in Singapore is how to answer the question, not to think too deeply and confuse ourselves. Yes some people say that it's not good for the real world, but how do you justify 'thinking out of the box' when you're just going to confuse yourself? Yet another case is in Malaysia, where you don't even have to think, you just have to be born to the right family. Controversial? Yes. Are people doing anything about it? No. Why? Because we've resigned ourselves to the system. Oh well. The world has to change, and we have to make it...

Sugar Rush!!!

Having a sugar rush now!!! Today was the last day for En Yee and I to work at the Hell Hole aka Miller Dining Hall, so we went to the supermarket to buy stuff for a late night snack. We ended up buying Marshmallows and Hershey's Bars and crackers, and we made smores!!!!

A new beginning?

Well, I've decided to restart this blog, because life has taken a huge turn for me these past few days. A month ago I came back to Bozeman, MT, preparing for my first summer experience. Well, for you people out there, SUMMER AIN'T ALL THAT. It's hot, it's dry, and if you're not at the beach, there's freaking nothing to do...

I moved to a new apartment in campus, and I kinda like it. It's huge enough to fit 6 people's worth of possessions. Don't believe me? See for yourself...



That's only for 4 people, namely Amber, Brian, Kyle and Ashton. They're keeping their stuff here while they're out of town till the end of the summer.

Currently, for the summer, I'm working at Miller Food Service, one of the University's Cafeterias. I think I can effectively summarize the experience in 3 words: IT SUCKS BALLS. I have to work with the worst kind of people in the United States of America: High Schoolers. They are the most retarded people you will ever have the misfortune of working with. It's because of them that I actually miss working at Harrison(the one I work at in the normal Semester). With these high schoolers, news travels extremely fast, and secrets and small little comments MUST be passed on. For example, yesterday I commented about having to work with a certain person to no one in general. Guess what, 4 hours later the person comes to me and asks me why I said that. Bloody hell, it's a freaking comment dumbass! Seriously, I hate it here...

These few days, I've been so stressed at work that I've been buying stuff impulsively... I just bought 'Casino Royale'(the novel, already have the movie), and I can't wait to receive it and read it! Also, I bought a few Marvel Civil War comics, and Bionicle... Now I just need a space to keep them...

Argh, I've run out of stuff to blog about for now, I'll probably post tomorrow or something...
